Shiatsu

Japanese finger pressure along the body’s meridians, with stretches. Always done clothed.

Shiatsu means finger pressure in Japanese. Your therapist presses with thumbs and palms along lines called meridians, and adds gentle stretches and joint rotations.

It has always been done through clothing. The pressure is steady rather than gliding, and you are moved and stretched as well as pressed.

Nathan trained at CenterPoint Shiatsu Therapy and practices Shiatsu Anma and Namikoshi shiatsu.
